Catalogues 2027/2028: What's new?

New product data and drawings in accordance with ISO 13399

The HORN 2027/2028 catalogues are classified exclusively in accordance with ISO 13399. This format enables the standardised presentation and exchange of cutting tool data. This allows CAM systems, ERP solutions and tool management systems to be seamlessly integrated with one another, regardless of the manufacturer. The HORN 2027/2028 catalogues therefore contain ‘new’ designations for the dimensions of HORN tools. You can download a list providing an overview of all parameters here.

Further information on the ISO 13399 standard can be found here.

Catalogue Navigator

The navigator at the start of each catalogue provides an overview of all key information relating to the entire catalogue.

New catalogue structure

The new HORN catalogues have a standardised structure. They follow a consistent layout with main sections (e.g. A) and subsections (e.g. A1, A2).

Navigation using tabs and page numbers

The HORN catalogues are structured in an intuitive way. Users can navigate easily using the handy tabs along the margins or the standard page numbers.

Chapter

Each HORN catalogue is divided into main sections, each identified by a letter (e.g. A). The start of a new section is clearly marked by a yellow page.

Systems

Specific systems are assigned to each chapter, identified by a number following the letter (e.g. A1, A2, A3). Each new system begins with a large image of the tool. Users will also find a detailed explanatory page containing further technical information on the respective tool system.

Guidance on Technical Information and Explanations

Technical information and explanation pages are consistently marked with a symbol across all HORN catalogues. This enables users to distinguish clearly between product overviews and more in-depth technical details.

New page layout: Page overview

The product pages in the HORN catalogues have been completely revamped. As well as the new data format, they now provide further information. Each product page refers to the corresponding dimensional data in the catalogue. In the digital version of the catalogue, these references are directly linked. A single click takes you straight to the relevant page containing the dimensional data.

New HORN interconnection coding:
How to find complementary tools

The interface coding ensures compatibility between tool holders and inserts. It is marked on both components. If the codes match, the insert fits the tool holder.

Innovations integrated directly into the catalogue

Products presented by HORN at AMB 2026 are marked with a corresponding ‘Innovation’ symbol. In the digital version of the catalogue, new products and additions are continuously updated and marked accordingly.
